The Enterprise Ireland Medical and Engineering Technologies (MET) Gateway is an applied research centre, dedicated to supporting Research, Development and Innovation activities in the MedTech, LifeSciences and Engineering Sectors. We provide our clients with innovative solutions which accelerate the medical device design and validation processes. Through active engagement with clinical and industrial partners, we produce scientific knowledge and technology outputs across a range of streams, including:  Medical imaging technologies, Anatomical Modelling and Physiological Replication, Data Analytics and Visualisation, Design Engineering and Verification and Medicinal Nutrition & Sport
Applications are invited for the post of Researcher at the Medical & Engineering Technology Gateway (MET), at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology to undertake a research project in collaboration with our industry partner, CrannMed.

 

Company Background: CrannMed is based in Galway, Ireland and was founded in 2018. The Company is committed to improve patient outcomes in a minimally invasive way and is actively working to develop leading edge devices and products in the Neurovascular and Peripheral spaces. The CrannMed team has a strong balance of Commercial, Clinical and Product Development skills, has built up a clinical network of world leading specialists and is determined to play a part in developing these solutions. We are a start-up but one on an exciting journey and growth plan.

Project Area: The development of innovative solutions in embolization therapies for Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE).
