Project Title: The Development of a Commercial Kitchen FOGs Trap

 

The Enterprise Ireland Medical and Engineering Technologies (MET) Gateway is an applied research centre, dedicated to supporting Research, Development and Innovation activities in the MedTech, LifeSciences and Engineering Sectors. MET, in collaboration with our Industrial partners have secured funding under Enterprise Irelands Innovation Partnership Programme to support the development of an Automated Commercial Kitchen Effluent Trap.

An opportunity exists, therefore, for a suitably qualified candidate to be part of the Research and Development team working in MET. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the project, and will take concepts through the entire product development cycle, in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards, to develop a commercially viable product. We thrive on finding innovative solutions and great systems that delight our partners, and you will work with the team to ensure that a viable product is developed within the given timeline.

Applications are invited for the post of Research – Product Design Engineer at the Medical & Engineering Technology Gateway (MET), at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, as funded under Innovation Partnership Programme, administered by Enterprise Ireland.

The minimum requirement for the position is an Honours degree (Level 8) in Engineering or cognate discipline.
