Andrew is a highly motivated Research and Development Engineer with over eight years of combined industry and applied research experience, including more than four years working with Medical and Engineering Technology. He collaborates closely with principal investigators, technology gateway management, industry partners, clinicians, and external suppliers to deliver industry-driven R&D projects.
Andrew applies his mechanical and biomedical engineering expertise to a wide range of research and development projects, encompassing anatomical modelling, medical device testing, and the creation of bespoke test rigs. He interprets clinical and industry needs and develops robust, reliable engineering solutions that meet project goals.
Throughout his career, Andrew has worked with both large multinational organisations and small and medium-sized enterprises, giving him a versatile and adaptable approach to engineering challenges. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to lead projects, support multidisciplinary teams, and deliver clinically relevant solutions.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, with a final-year specialisation in Biomedical Engineering.
